OH MY GOODNESS! So much snow last week! Hope everyone had fun playing in it! And now, it's back to school and it's catch up time. We are in the straight-away, the home stretch, the final lap before our new assessment in April. I wanted to remind you a few resources you have available to you! READING COUNTS: Please have your students reading and taking quizzes for Reading Counts! Mrs. Hensley has our bears going up in the media center and it is looking great, but we need everyone reading! Students can take quizzes at various times during the day: after breakfast, intervention, media center time, lab time, etc. The link for taking a quiz is on the Coker Website! Remember: this link only works at Coker, so students cannot test at home. https://h100000897.education.scholastic.com/slms/studentaccess GOFAR - GOFAR is the Georgia Online Formative Assessment Resource! It is located as a tab in SLDS and is very easy to navigate and super user friendly. You can create tests and have students take those tests online. The items are OAS items that offer links to print the rubrics and exemplars when you build the test. Please get on GOFAR within the next week and "play around" with it. ONLINE TEST FORMAT: Wanna see what the test will look like online? Or see what tools will be available to students? A practice site has been set up just for showing how an online test will be formatted. http://learnoas.ctb.com/GA/ This is NOT a link for students necessarily, but one you may find informative as we move toward online testing for all. NEARPOD - please don't forget to do your Thinking Maps review on Nearpod, if you haven't already. Yes, you had homework! Haha www.nearpod.com Then use the PIN: FRPKN That's it for today! Hope you all are having a great week back! Below is a little humor to get your March started of right... Linda, Honey, Listen... |
